Registration fees

EAS member registration fees The general rule regarding the member-rate registration at EAS Congresses is: Payment of EAS annual membership subscription (from January 01-December 31 each year) means that you are eligible to pay member-rate registration fees when attending the EAS Congress the following year. Become an EAS member

Fees for onsite participation (in Euro) apply to payments received prior to the indicated deadline.

Fees for virtual, streamed participation

Note: * To be eligible to register at EAS member registration fee for the EAS 2024 Lyon, you must have paid your EAS individual membership fee for 2023 to the Society. If your EAS membership fee for 2023 has not been paid by the end of the year, the non-member registration fee will apply at the EAS 2024 Lyon.

** Students – In order to benefit from the special fee, a submission of your status confirmation (approval letter signed by the Head of Department or copy of your status ID) must be uploaded during the Online – registration.

*** This category is applicable only up to Early registration rate deadline

Fees for onsite category include:

• Access to all scientific sessions 
• Access to the exhibition and poster area
• Invitation to the Welcome Reception on May 26
• Refreshments during the Congress coffee breaks
• 3 months access to all the session recordings on demand
• Possibility to earn CME credits

Fees for virtual category include:

All items below are accessible only on the virtual congress platform 

• Access to all scientific sessions and session recordings
• Access to the e-posters
• Virtual interaction and networking 
• 3 months access to all the sessions’ recording on demand
• Possibility to earn CME credits (only for participation in the live congress days)

Press

We offer complimentary registration for members of the press; however, press credentials are required.
Please submit the completed embargo form with your valid press ID card or a letter from the publisher of the institution/journal you are working for

Confirmation of registration

An invoice will be issued as written confirmation of your registration by the Organizing Secretariat

Payment methods

Payment of registration fees (in EUR) can be made as follows:

By Credit Card: Visa, MasterCard or American Express

By Bank Transfer: 

• Additional 30 EUR handling fee is required.
• Please ensure that the name of the participant is stated on the transaction draft.
• Bank charges are the responsibility of the payer and should be paid in addition to the registration fees.

Registration will only be valid upon receipt of the full payment by the registration department according to the deadline indicated. An email confirming registration will only be sent after receipt of the required fees.

Conversion of Registration Category

Up to the 26 April 2024 you will be able to change your registration category at no charge. For example, if you registered to attend in person at Lyon, you will be able to change your registration category to ‘online’ and receive a refund of the difference in fees. Please note that when changing your registration category, the fee that will apply will be based on the registration fee and category applicable at the time the change is made.              

As of the 27 April 2024 there will be no refunds for changing your registration category. Should you wish to upgrade your registration from ‘virtual’ to an ‘onsite’ attendance, you will be required to pay the difference applicable based on the registration fee and category at the time the change is made.                                                                                                                         

Cancellations

All cancellations must be electronically mailed.
Refund of registration fee will be as follows:

• Cancellations received until and including March 14, 2024 – full refund less handling fee (*)
• Cancellations received between March 15​ and April 25, 2024 – 50% will be refunded (**)
• As of April 26, 2024 – no refund will be made.

(*) In case of cancellation, please note that a handling fee of 30 Euro will not be refunded regardless of the payment method.

(**) Applicable to Bank Transfer payments only – the Bank transfer handling fee (30 Euro) will not be refunded.

Photo & Video Policy:

We, European Atherosclerosis Society (EAS), will process photos and videos of you during our congress and events. We will use footage depicting a crowd but where you still can be identified, in member-only areas of our website and for marketing purposes, i.e. publicly on our website and social media channels. We will also share your personal data with the photographer that takes the picture or video. In case a congress or event takes place outside EU/EAA we will transfer your personal data outside this region.

By participating in our congress or events, you consent to us using your photo or video for marketing purposes according to marketing legislation.
